A huge welcome to the new year for the children in my class.

We're all getting use to the new classroom and trying out different seating arrangements to see what works best and, so far, we're all doing quite well with learning the new names - I've only been called Mrs. Pawan once so far!!!!

This term we are studying World War II and field trips have been arranged for later in the term.

A little reminder for you about days -

You need your reading book and journal / diary every day.

Monday - Remember your dinner money needs to be paid. (It should be in an envelope with the class name and child's name on it.)

You also need you games kit as we have hockey. It needs to be suitable for the weather - a thin t-shirt and shorts won't really be suitable when the weather gets colder. Layers of clothing work best.

Tuesday -

Wednesday - It's gymnastics today so you need your pe kit. It needs to be quite tight fitting (not baggy) shorts or leggings and a t-shirt. Loose clothes can be hazardous when we're working off floor level.

Thursday - Homework is due in today.

Friday - New homework is explained and handed out.

Dates of other events this term will be sent home on newsletters with appropriate consent forms which need to be filled in and returned to school.

(I'm still waiting for a few of the forms from the beginning of the term. Please could I have them as soon as possible.)
